At Deloro, we actively pursue research and development on new alloys in response to market needs, and make them accessible for customer applications. Our team uses state-of-the-art thermodynamic modelling and experimental validation to improve performance and meet new industrial requirements.
Our research and development team undertakes the continuous development of alloys of the next generation and the one thereafter. These materials will enable future mechanical engineering applications, advancing humanity and protecting the environment in the fields of alternative energies, power generation, low-carbon transport or medical engineering, amongst others.

Inspired by the striking “cobalt blue” hue (CoAl₂O₄), the Deloro star represents our comprehensive technical knowledge of cobalt, nickel and iron as well as high-performance alloys, which form the basis of our portfolio. Deloro offers comprehensive services: From the analysis and evaluation of the wear modes in your process or field of application and technical feasibility studies, to a recommended efficient solution. We offer complete project management, from material procurement to final inspection and approval, produce components and assemblies in accordance to customer-specific parameters, create prototypes as well as pilot series and install assemblies from own and purchased parts. Customers thus receive tailored, long-lasting and economical solutions for their applications.
Our experts evaluate our customer’s processes and systems together with them. Here, the degree of wear and the wear mechanism are evaluated jointly, by considering factors such as temperature, corrosion and operating environment. Within the scope of a comprehensive wear analysis and evaluation, as well as technical feasibility analysis, we will determine the specific requirements of your application. Provided all application-related information is available, Deloro can compare the efficiency of different possible solutions across the entire product life cycle, as well as the total cost of ownership. Based on this evaluation, our experts will make a well-founded recommendation.
There is no universal wear protection solution. We will analyse the most important parameters of the specific application for with you, and will then define the factors that lead to wear on the component as well as in the process. Based on this analysis, we will develop customised wear protection concepts, which are precisely tailored to your requirements. We will draw on our comprehensive technical expertise as well as modern equipped laboratories here, where we will check materials, analyse coatings and evaluate new processes. Especially the Deloro Microfusione division, established in 1948, is regarded as almost unique worldwide in the field of individual component manufacturing – particularly regarding its competence and capacity combined with the specialisation in high-performance applications. The specialists for vacuum investment casting based in Milan, Italy are consistently focused on the production of rotating and stationary hot section components for applications in gas turbines and aviation. Deloro Microfusione provides a special added value with the successful industrialisation of complex castings –with and without ceramic cores.

Component assembly also occurs in our factory for our customers – depending on requirements. This can include components produced in the factory as well as purchased parts. These purchased parts can either be procured by Deloro or the customer. With this, we ensure a flexible and requirement-based assembly, which is precisely adapted to your requirements. Your processes in production and final assembly will work as smoothly as possible, “frictionless” as it were.
From the selection and procurement of suitable base material, the production and quality control up to final inspection and approval on site, we will be responsible for the entire project management for your customer-specific components – transparently and reliably. We will place particular emphasis on transparent communication and will actively include you in all relevant production steps. With this, we ensure that your requirements are taken into consideration at all times, and that you are always up-to-date on progress – for a smooth and timely implementation of your project.

Refurbishing Components
The refurbishing of components is one of the most sustainable engineering services we do offer. With the help of specially developed Deloro processes and technologies, high-value components that are close to the wear limit can be refurbished “as new” by the targeted application of new wear protection. This does not compromise operational safety or process stability and significantly extends the service life of components. Resources are preserved and efficiency is sustainably improved. The Full Metal upgrade for these components often includes the use of improved alloys in the so-called additive regeneration.

In addition to the legally prescribed approvals and certificates, we hold certifications in industry-specific standards. These confirm that we manufacture our products and render our services according to defined processes and in a high-quality manner, thus meeting the specific requirements and standards of various industries. In addition, we have numerous industry-specific approvals and certifications, which we developed together with our customers. These include, amongst others, ISO 19443, ISO 13485, ISO 3834, the 2014/68/EU Directive, AD2000 and generally ISO 9001.
Process assurance and optimisation is a key success factor for us to remain competitive in the long-term. Investments in modern equipment as well as the continuous further training and skills development of our personnel are the basis for stable and efficient processes with few errors. A comprehensive quality management system, ideally in accordance with ISO 9001 or other industry-specific standards (such as for the automotive or nuclear industry) is therefore indispensable.
