Deloro is equipped to handle everything from custom one-off productions to full-scale industrial manufacturing — starting with batch sizes as small as one. The production options are flexible here, oriented to the size and shape of the component and the required manufacturing processes.
IT6
Tolerances. Without mµddle.
Our production tolerances are in the micrometre region (µm). We achieve this without much effort. This means components have a longer service life, due to less initial wear. Particularly in industries such as aviation and aerospace, medical engineering or power generation, such tolerances are crucial for safety and optimum performance.

… up to 10 tons: With this, we can streamline your procurement processes. Coordination of multiple suppliers is not needed. This enables us to work together to achieve sustainability: Fewer suppliers means shorter transport routes and optimised logistics. Emissions are reduced and resources are preserved.
Full Metal Infinity
Metal is basically infinite – a fascinating material, which is characterised by its almost unlimited reusability and its enormous durability. Compared to many other materials, metal can be repeatedly recycled without any loss of quality. This means: Once extracted, metal remains a useful raw material – potentially for eternity.
This feature plays a central role, particularly for industrial applications. The Deloro upgrade makes components more resistant against wear, corrosion or high temperatures, so that they can often be regenerated rather than disposed of. This means not only on efficiency, but also sustainability. Once the service life of the component is finally reached, it can often be recycled.
Components / Deloro in critical processes
Deloro was here
… and came to stay.
Wherever critical components are being used in the process or in the application, Deloro was, is and will be present. From development to regeneration of components for what feels like an eternal product life cycle in line with the circular economy. Critical processes – planned into eternity.
Components with the Deloro upgrade can simply work faster. The optimum interplay due to tolerances in the micrometre region, less wear and less downtime for maintenance and repair yield a significantly higher production capacity meaning a higher unit output per period).
Critical processes and applications can operate at higher temperatures when using Deloro alloys compared to conventional materials. Deloro alloys thus enable the unlocking of new technologies or types of applications.
Components manufactured at Deloro have a number of advantages that ensure pressure stability – even in the long term. The surfaces and entire components are harder and do not deform due to the applied Deloro alloys. Due to their corrosion and wear resistance, as well as their tight manufacturing tolerances, (sealing) surfaces remain even over time. In addition, their heat resistance preserves the structural and morphological properties of the components.
The use of components with excellent wear and corrosion resistance significantly extends the service life of the entire system. These high-quality materials resist mechanical wear and damaging environmental influences even under demanding operating conditions. This reduces maintenance intervals, minimises downtime and increases operational safety sustainably. Overall, the superior material quality thus decisively contributes to the efficiency and reliability of the process, the machine or the system.
Components produced by Deloro consist of reliable, corrosion-resistant materials that ensure the structural integrity of the applications even under extreme conditions, and thus enable safe and sustained operation in demanding environments.
Thanks to the components upgraded by Deloro, critical processes are less high-maintenance or less prone to repairs. Without any compromises in operational stability and safety. This ensures less failure or downtimes of machines and processes.
Our customers know that Full Metal Marathon components from Deloro are more efficient overall. Fewer failures, fewer repairs, faster processes and longer maintenance intervals have a positive effect on the total cost of ownership over the entire product life cycle.
All these aspects result in a more sustainable use of components. This means sustainability in the financial sense, as well as in the consumption of resources and a reduced CO2 footprint or energy consumption. Due to our technology-open consulting and our in-house access to multiple production processes, the logistics CO2 footprint also reduces.
Neutral consulting and everything from one source
Coated, cast, hot isostatically pressed (HIP) or 3D printed
We will find the best production process for your components: Deloro provides neutral consulting that is open to all types of technology and offers varied manufacturing options.
Coating and additive manufacturing processes
If only certain parts of a component are exposed to heavy wear, a targeted coating with wear-resistant materials is a cost-efficient solution. Surface engineering processes such as weld deposition or thermal spray, impart specific properties to the part surface.
Cast components
In case of extreme stress, such as high mechanical loads or strong temperature changes, production of the entire component from wear-resistant solid material may be recommended. Such components are less susceptible to surface damage and require less maintenance. When worn, they can usually be reworked. In addition, solid material components can more easily be recycled after use, thus contributing to the circular economy.
Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) process
Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) may be suitable when components require a particularly high density, homogeneity, toughness and mechanical strength. HIP is specifically used in the production or optimisation of high-performance components for aerospace, the automotive industry, medical engineering (e.g. implants), energy as well as oil and gas industry.
Additive manufacturing / 3D printing
We produce critical components in the 3D printing process if these require complex geometries, individual adjustments or lightweight construction, which are difficult or cannot be realised with conventional processes. Its use is particularly recommended if quick availability, low quantities, spare part requirements for rare or old machines or high material efficiency are required. The Deloro quality control guarantees the same quality as for conventional manufacturing processes.

360° in-house manufacturing know-how
From sketch to ready-to-install component: We offer you our complete experience as own user of our alloys for the development and design of customer components as well as the entire manufacturing chain from one source.
Four main casting processes are used for components made of cobalt, nickel and iron based alloys at the Deloro Group. These are:
- Investment casting
- Sand casting in the Alpha set hand-moulded casting
- Resin shell casting in the Croning casting process
- Centrifugal casting
Solid components up to 900 kg cast weight benefit from uniform wear properties in the whole component, in particular for moulds and configurations that are otherwise difficult or impossible to protect by coating or weld hardfacing.
Vacuum casting is used at Deloro specifically for superalloys, or it is used if the construction requires it. Here, the metal is melted and cast under very low pressure, so that there is no oxidation throughout the whole process. Our two Retech casting machines have a two-chamber system: The alloy is initially melted in the first chamber and stabilised, before it is cast into the mould in the second chamber. With this method, parts with a weight of over 100 kg as well as very thin-walled, filigree structures can be produced. A production process with precise quality control ensures error-free components and highest quality. The vacuum investment casting process is frequently used for aviation or for industrial gas turbine components.
Deloro uses different processes to apply wear-resistant coatings of Stellite™, Deloro™ alloys, tungsten and chromium carbides as well as ceramics onto component surfaces. Here, thermal spray technologies such as HVOF (high velocity oxygen fuel), plasma spraying (APS) and the two-step spray & fuse (S/F) process are used. In the latter process, the powder alloy is flame sprayed and subsequently melted. For particularly robust hardfacing or clad layers, weld processes such as PTA (Plasma Transferred Arc), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) are used. This way, new as well as regenerated and overhauled components can be optimally protected against wear, corrosion and high temperatures. Overview of all our surface engineering processes:
- LASER powder coating (laser cladding)
- Plasma Transferred Arc Welding (PTAW) using powder consumable
- Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding
- Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding
- Manual metal arc welding (MMA)
- High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF)
- Air plasma spraying (APS)
- Spray & fuse (S/F)
