What to expect:
This user report is aimed at hydropower plant operators, engineering and planning offices, and technical decision-makers in the energy sector.
It offers a compact overview of technical, economic and operational aspects of wear protection – and uses practical examples to show how high-performance alloys sustainably increase the reliability, efficiency and service life of hydropower plants.
Many thanks to Kraftwerke Oberhasli for the long-standing, trusting collaboration and the insights into one of the most impressive hydropower systems in the Alps. KWO operates hydropower plants in Switzerland and generates around 2,300 GWh of CO₂-free electricity annually – an impressive example of how sustainable energy generation can be achieved on a large scale. Together with Deloro, we produced a user report demonstrating how high-quality materials and customized wear protection solutions contribute to further strengthening the longevity and efficiency of this crucial infrastructure and making the energy transition possible.
