Since summer 2023, it has been impossible to imagine our production without the mobile measuring arm from Hexagon. The versatile device enables both tactile measurement and non-contact 3D scanning - flexibly at any location. It allows us to carry out quality checks during production, recognise potential deviations at an early stage and rectify them in good time.

If there's one thing that doesn't suit us Delorians at all, it's the attitude ‘We can keep doing it this way, we've always done it this way.’ On the contrary, we are open to new things, to change and therefore also to the topic of digitalisation. We are currently working in almost every area of the company and examining how we can make processes better, more digital and therefore more efficient. This often leaves no stone unturned. It goes without saying that this is not always easy for our employees. We are all the more proud that they are going along with all the changes, remaining open, actively contributing and, of course, benefiting in the end.

It's happened to most of us: we see a tempting bargain with a price that seems too good to be true and we jump at it. In retrospect, the first gut feeling is often confirmed and the supposedly cheap offer turns out to be a bad buy. The old saying "If you buy cheap, you buy twice" is no coincidence. Choosing the cheapest offer is not only economically mostly senseless, but above all ecologically a fatal mistake.

It is hard to imagine today's society without plastics. After all, plastic is a material that is inexpensive and meets certain requirements much better than other materials. Nevertheless, the industry is facing the challenge of making materials and processes more sustainable. This change brings with it completely new demands on the wear protection of processing machines in the plastics sector.

Don’t make an elephant out of a moskito! This german saying implies that something is blown out of proportion. At Deloro we do not make elephants out of moskitos... we simply produce both out of wear resistant materials! Not literally of course but in fact we do indeed produce parts that vary in size and lotsize as greatly as those two extremely different animals.

Together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials IFAM in Bremen (Germany), Deloro developed the printing and sintering parameters for cobalt-based alloys produced by the Metal Binder Jetting Process. Thanks to the developed parameter-set, it was ultimately possible to print the prototypes from the Deloro alloys. In addition to the feasibility study, the tensile, wear, and corrosion properties of Deloro additive manufactured alloys were investigated. Preliminary tests show an outstanding performance compared to the conventional production of these alloys. The second phase of our investigations to determine geometric boundaries and to qualify the materials for customer components have already started, and soon you could get your critical parts additive manufactured in your Deloro trustable quality.
Harder. Stronger. More resistant. More sustainable. This has been our sole focus for over 115 years. At the core of every process. As one-stop supplier for engineering services, alloys, filler materials, ready-to-install components or complete welding systems.
